most disappointing sequel since madagascar 2.
i’m still upset with ‘mater for leaving in the middle of the race to go on a big date. i mean, yeah, she is a porche, or ferarri or whatever, but come on man. you the dadgummed crew chief! you can’t go la-de-da i’m going on my date. especially when you’re hearing voices in your head telling you to do crazy things like leave the race in the final stretch! take your headphones off and lay down.
nobody’s that stupid ‘mater. you make patrick from sponge bob look like that smart kid used to sit by me in science class.
a lot of the plot points didn’t make any sense to me. although i feel like i’ve seen them all before in some other Pixar film. this time they are just kinda randomly flung together with larry the cable guy yucking it up between them.
there’s no character development at all. not that anyone particularly cares about that but i’m a critic, yo. ’mater’s a dumb ass when they start, ‘mater’s a dumb ass when the movie’s over. with rockets!
the racing looks really freaking awesome though. and sounds kinda like you could be next door to an actual Nascar race.
i saw it in 2D, with the majority of the folks at the midnight premiere, but will most def check out the 3D first chance i get. the environments are almost kinda awing. it really is impressive. it makes me want to play the new arcade racing game we have in our game room, actually. it kinda feels like your in a video game for a while.
i’m more disappointed in the film than i was madagascar 2. and i didn’t think that was possible. but this time it’s Pixar. i guess everyone is due a dud every once and again.
it seemed to get a bit political, but i couldn’t tell what they were trying to say. like they were being overly politically correct.
some of it was funny. made me laugh. but i’m coming to see a Pixar animated feature. not larry the cable guy plays a semi retarded tow truck. i got expectations. and this is a straight to dvd script with some real pretty pictures. the pictures are really, really pretty.
they’ll still make 200 million dollars but this is the weakest Pixar films by a long shot.
